I Feel As Though I'm Late

You know that famous line from Alice In Wonderland

Well that's the feeling I'm getting

Today is going to be filled to the brim with shopping, haircut, errands and the like

Tomorrow is to be spent in the kitchen

Plans for boiled fruit cake to give to father in law

Sausage rolls

More mince pies

Marzipan cake

Rum balls

Stuffed dates

Jumbles biscuits

Possibly ice cake

Prepare 'spare' room for Sonshine

Eek

What am I doing on here

So if I go missing in action for a few days I truly hope you all have a fantastic festive season, however you celebrate and whatever you believe

As you can see I finally finished my other shawl in time to wear to a meeting yesterday

Blessings J. x

    1. No sure Sue!...We are expecting seven for Christmas Eve tea, eleven for Christmas Day lunch and then going to a bring and share do for tea for 20+. Boxing Day will hopefully be a little quieter though we may be cutting logs or shed building and draught in helpers (family) so they all need feeding! And so this continues through to New Year. Just as well I love feeding people. Love to you and yours. xx

    1. Thank you...it is knitted in a wool mix and of a heavier weight than the green one in the same pattern I knitted twelve months ago. Festive greetings. xx

  7. Lovely snuggly looking shawl - we are at that 'going-through-THE-list' stage making sure we are up to date with everything - then we do the usual 'panic-coz-we-are-NOT-ready' dance, pull ourselves together and decide that 'it-will-be-alright-on-the-night' and cross our fingers!

    1. It's bad when the list has sub lists! Not been feeling 100% the past couple days do time to chill...hum a festive tune and get away with doing the bare minimum. Will anybody notice that I haven't wiped all the kitchen shelves? Will anyone actually care as long as they get to tuck into a delicious meal? I doubt it! Festive felicitations coming your way! xx

  8. Have a fabulous Chrimble. I "think" we're ready but best laid plans of mice and men and all that. It'll work out in the end!

    1. It will...and it won't be perfect, but neither was a stable an ideal birthing place for a baby as the story goes so here's to greasy rings and specks of dust! xx

  9. Why do we do it!? I love the shawl. Have a fantastic few days and you and your family will look back with fond memories whatever doesn't get quite finished. Jane xx
